Banjir Fashion?!?!?

Hey guys!

So I'm now in Singapore, and I'll be heading home right after my piano lesson tomorrow morning :) Anyway, just now mummy and Ah Yee Teng2 wanted to go shopping, so daddy and I went along, rather than just staying home and doing nothing =.=

We went to Vivocity, which was quite crowded. Of course, as usual, we spent most of our time there eating xD But anyway, we did walk around window shopping as well. As we passed by a shop selling clothes, I noticed one of the male mannequin dressed in a pretty cool looking shirt and a pair of long jeans. The pair of jeans was folded up to halfway between the ankle and the knees so that the new length of the jeans is like the length of a "3-quarter pants". I thought it looked quite strange, but then I thought maybe they just forgot to fold it back down or something!

We continued walking around Vivocity and I kept getting more and more amused as I kept seeing guys in jeans folded up the same way! I was telling daddy about it and we were referring to it as "Banjir Trousers" because it looks as if the wearer is trying to keep the bottom part of the jeans dry during the floods =.=

Seriously, every time I saw someone with "Banjir Trousers", the image of the people wading through ankle-deep flood water came to mind! hahahaha xD Of course, this style of wearing jeans come with some advantages. I mean, it should feel much cooler than long jeans right? Since it's shorter? And then there is it's most advantageous advantage (I should think it's the whole point of "Banjir Trousers")... If banjir (got flood) then the jeans would be very convenient, don't need to try to quickly fold the jeans up to avoid it getting wet =.=

I have never been one to understand fashion, but if this is the new fashion for men, I would find it quite quite quite absurd! Imagine the front cover of some fashion magazine with a random dude in "Banjir Trousers" posing there, trying to look cool. And then in huge, bold words: "Banjir Fashion! It's convenient and literally cool!"

Ooh ooh ooh!!! Maybe the "Banjir Trousers" should be worn with Phua Chu Kang boots, the bright yellow ones, to complete the Banjir Fashion ;D hahahaha, then everyone would be always ready for the floods xD

Hey! I think people should hire me to be some fashion designer or something! At least the fashions I come up with would be useful! Maybe I can come up with handbags that double as inflatable air rafts or something for the ladies!

Kiaaaasulandddd xD

Hey guys! :)

So I have had two piano lessons with Miss Sim so far (this year) and so I've been in Singapore the past two weekends. The first week mum and dad fetched me in and I took a cab out while on the second, koko and I took a bus in and flew out to KL.

The flight from Singapore to KL was so weird! Hahahaha, koko and I had to wait in the airport for a longer time than the flight time! The flight was seriously so short! It was supposed to be an hour or something but I think we arrived in KL in half the amount of time! hahaha!

Daddy helped us pre-order some food for our flight so when I was in the plane, after taking off, I got my food which came with teh tarik :) I finished my meal and took a sip of my drink and then straightaway I heard the announcement that all passengers were supposed to prepare for landing! I was so shocked! My cup was still at least 3/4 full! My drink was still hot! That was most definitely the shortest flight I've ever been on! hahaha!

I wonder what it'll be like if they have a flight from Senai to Singapore xD That would take, what, 10 minutes? hahaha! It'll be so weird, though! Go wait in the airport for 2 hours only to take a 10 minutes flight =.=

Anyway, I'm going to Singapore again tomorrow (today? I mean Saturday xD) Daddy is driving us all in (Sorry dad! xD) We'll probably attend New Creation church on Sunday, which is a serious plus point for me! I enjoy the sermons there. A lot :D We'll be coming back on Monday after my piano lesson, I think :)

I HATE MOSQUITOES!!!!!!! And I hate that they love me!!!! :'( It's not fun being loved by them! This love is one-sided I tell ya, ONE SIDED!!!!!!! xD

The Hairbrush Song xD

Hey guys!

I'm back home in BP and you know what?

I think I need a new hairbrush xD (Yeah, I use a hairbrush instead of a comb, so what? :P)

Anyway, this reminds me of a song I learnt from SUSOM :)

It's really cute and celaka stuckable!

hahahahaha!

A Piano-ish V Day in Singapore :)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! :)

I had my piano lesson with Miss Sim this morning. It was kind of nerve-wrecking, seeing as from the scale of one to ten, my piano-playing technique is probably a negative something =.= I was so bad that Miss Sim decided to change one of the pieces I was supposed to play to a shorter piece xD

Everything I played felt and sounded so flat compared to whatever Miss Sim played! Just any single note sounded different when Ms Sim was playing it! She's a genius, I tell you, a genius! She knows exactly what each note should sound like and exactly how to play it and what props to use to get the feel of how to play the different techniques!

Yes, I said props, because I don't know what other word to use xD For example, rubber bands, erasers, glue, and actually I think that Miss Sim can use anything within her reach to teach her students (especially the really really cacat ones like me =.=) to feel the different techniques.

Today was the first time I had to think before playing every note because every note and every phrase and everything is supposed to be played differently, so that the sound that comes out of it is full of colour and doesn't sound flat, which is, sadly, how a lot of people (including me, I now realise) always play (especially for exam pieces!). I'm really glad I finally decided to go ahead with the lessons because I just know I'm going to learn so much under Miss Sim!

There's this one problem, though. I was trying to figure out how to register for the diploma exam and so I visited the ABRSM (The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) website. I was checking whether I can register online and then I saw that I can't register for diploma exams online. Only the graded music exams registrations can be done online.

So I clicked and clicked and clicked until I found the page where I can download the diploma entry forms. I was thinking that I was pretty smart for finding the way to register for my exam and then I realised that I do not have the slightest clue about what diploma exam I'm going to take =.= There's a "Music Direction", a "Music Performance" and a "Instrumental/Vocal Teaching". So which one? Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Diploma is so confusing!

Ok! Ok! Enough about the serious stuff! haha, I had a nice lunch with my cousin Ming-Ming :) At first we couldn't decide where to eat (Indecisive me to be blamed xD) and so Ming-Ming brought me to Siglap and we ended up eating at The Cafe' Cartel :) The food was quite good. Ordered 2 set meals to be shared among the two of us. The set came with free flow of bread, which was really nice, especially with the mushroom soup :D Too bad I didn't bring my camera, the mushroom soup was presented quite nicely! xD

Hmmm, what else? Oh, yeah! I don't know if it's my imagination, but I keep smelling Flurry (the dog)!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Update from Kiasuland!

Hey guys!

I'm now in Singapore, sitting in my cousin Joyce's room, blogging from her old laptop :)

I'll be going for my piano lesson (under the awesome Ms. Sim! Yay!!!) tomorrow morning!

I'm a bit scared and I'm definitely nervous, though!

The songs are soooooo looonnnnnggggggg and they look really difficult!

If not for the fact that Miss Sim is the one that's going to teach me, I wouldn't even dare to think of taking diploma!

Yes, it is that scary!

And yes, Miss Sim is that good!

Nah, actually, she's the best! :D

I'm quite excited to learn under her again!

I think I'm going to have to really work hard at this, though!

It's definitely not going to be easy!

Please keep me in prayer! Thankewwww!!! :D

Oh, and to all of you out there, HAPPY be-earlied VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!
