My Sister is BACKKKK!!!! xD

NIKO IS BACKKKKKKKKK!!!!! =D =D =DDDDD

Once again, I have a sister!!! :D It only happens once in a blue moon, when he hasn't been home for a very long time and has long hair xD His hair is longer than mine now, and I haven't had my hair-cut in ages!!!

It's great to have Niko back again!!!! And mummy keeps calling him "Girl" xD So fun for me! hahahaha! What I always wanted growing up, an older sister ;D

NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK NIKO IS BACK =D

I've started uni and I can't go makan with him all over BP :( I have a list of makan places to make sure Niko eats at this trip round!!! ='(

I wants me some holidays and I wants them right now! In fact, I don't just want "some" holidays, I want plenty of holidays! You know what? Don't need to study already I lagi syiok xD

Oh yeah, and today after my Bio quiz (yes, I had a Bio quiz earlier today! Who on Earth invented such a thing as tests and quizzes? tsk tsk tsk!!! Oh, it was the Chinese =.=) all the JPA scholars taking Foundation in Science had to stay back for a meeting or something and we were told that for all of us planning to take Medicine, we have to get a minimum CGPA of 3.7 as well as go through an interview before we can be accepted into the UCSI medical programme!!! Oh, and the best part is, there are already 58 JPA scholars taking Foundation in Science (my batch) and we have to compete with another 30-over A-Levels students for spots in the medical programme next year! And get this, there are only 50 places in the medical programme! So the rest of us will either have to try to get into another programme or give up and be beach bums or something!!! Beach bum... beach bum... Hey, doesn't sound too bad, does it? xD My dream ambition! xDDD

For those of you who do not know what a beach bum is, it is defined as "A person who habitually loafs or idles on beaches". Pretty cool, huh? xD

Well, anyway, I guess I'll just have to snap out of my holiday/watch-TV-all-day/sleep-for-more-than-half-the-day-everyday/a-lazy-pig's-life mode, and real soon too! =.=

Oh oh ohhh!!! I wrestled with one of the UCSI elevator/lift doors just now! hahahahaha!!! Felicia, Chia Yee, Karen (3 out of the 5 of my housemates) and myself were in the lift with a bunch of other people from our batch after our Bio quiz. When we reached the floor we were going to, Felicia and Chia Yee walked out first, followed by Karen and then me.

When Karen was walking out, the lift door closed on her and hit her from the left side before she managed to get out of the lift, and the lift door opened again slightly after hitting poor Karen. I was behind her and I stepped out of the lift as soon as the door opened again.

As I was stepping out, the lift door closed again and at that time, around half my body was already out of the lift (and yes, half of my body was still in the lift =.=) The lift door banged into me while I was halfway out of the lift. So, like any normal person would, I started to push the lift door the direction it would open. However, unlike the usual normal person, something struck my funny bone and I started laughing really hard!

I was laughing and laughing and the three of my housemates had already went ahead (not too far ahead, but they weren't exactly trying to save me from the lift door situation either xD). So there I was, laughing like a mad woman, trying to push the stubborn lift door open with my left hand and left leg sticking out of the lift awkwardly! Don't ask me why both my left hand and leg, because I really don't know how that happened! So half my body was in the lift while the other half of my body was out of the lift, and the lift door was half open and trying to close, but all I could do was laugh and laugh and laugh while everyone else in the lift must have been thinking I'm some kind of mental patient (but nobody was gentlemanly enough to offer a finger to help press the open button! Maybe nobody wanted to be associated with the girl laughing away while the lift door as trying to shut on her)! xD

Well, I was wrestling with the lift door and losing miserably because I was laughing too hard and all my energy went into my laughter xD So when I was almost squished at the end of the lift door, I stepped back and thought, "bye housemates!!!" as I saw the lift door close right before my eyes. I was still laughing uncontrollably then! Then then then, another girl who was in the lift pressed the open button just in time and the lift door opened again just as it touched the other end where the lift door closes unto!

All I could do was stumble out of the lift, trying not to laugh too hard and trying to walk straight! I can't even remember whether I thanked the girl who pressed the "open" button for me!!!

That. was. embarrassing.

I demand a rematch against the lift door!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!

Still surviving here! xD

Hey guys!!!

So I'm now sort of in the middle of my second week as a UCSI student :) My first week here was.... okayyyy, I guess xD I think I still haven't gotten used to the idea of me not being able to just laze around the house and watch TV all day!

Well, anyway, I went back home on Friday night :D Koko and I took a cab from outside the condo I'm staying at to somewhere near the bus station. We reached the station at around 5.30 pm and we couldn't get any tickets to go back to BP! The next bus going to BP was at 7 pm and I couldn't take that because I had to rush back to BP for koko Sern Wang's wedding rehearsal!

Koko and I asked all over and in the end we took a 6 pm bus to Yong Peng, and daddy and mmmy came to fetch us home from Yong Peng. BEE PEE!!!! There's no place like BP! I was sooooooo happy when we reached BP! I don't know why, but I had never missed home as much as I did last week!

Anyway, I went home, got my violin, and rushed straight to church. I was already very very late and the proper rehearsal was, I think, already over xD Joshua and I practised a few times (I hadn't touched my violin for such a loooonnnnngggggg time before that!) and then we had to let the other people use the piano.

Koko Sern Wang and Eik Hien jie finally got married on Saturday xDDD I think Joshua and I did quite a good job for the wedding song? Bridal walk? march? thingy. At least I thought our timing was pretty decent :D We finished right as Eik Hien jie reached koko Sern Wang! =D What to say? We had two prayers in a row right before we had to play x)

It was so nice to be back in BP and seeing so many old friends at the same place, at the same time! It seemed as if everyone was there at the wedding! =D That as just what I needed :) The wedding dinner was fun too. It was fun catching up with everyone!

Oh ya!
CONGRATULATIONS KOKO SERN WANG AND EIK HIEN JIE!!!!!! :) :) :)
I can't wait to play with all the future Sern Wang juniors and mini Eik Hiens! =D

I think I'm slowly getting used to the fact that I've started my foundation course and I no longer get to live the life of a total and utter couch potato! :( I WANT THAT LIFE!!! I LOVE THAT LIFE!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
P.S.: I went for the CF meeting last Friday and it was awesomeeeee!!!! Too bad I can't go for any more :( Why did my BCOM lecture have to be changed to the exact same time as CF?!?!?!? :'(

First Day, First Lecture in UCSI =]

Hey guys!!!

I had my first lecture in UCSI today, my first official day as a student there! :) It was a Moral Studies lecture (of all subjects =.=) and it was from 2-5 pm.

Only two other girls (Karen and Chia Yee) and myself stayed in our new "home" last night while the other three came in this morning itself =D

We walked from our unit to UCSI and I think that was my exercise for the day xD There were sooo many people there for the Moral Studies lecture and it did shock me a little (so jakun!!! xD) My stomach was growling halfway through the lecture (we had bread and my awesome Peter Pan peanut butter for breakfast and we skipped lunch), I was soooo hungry!!!

Anyway, the lecture kind of ended early, and my housemates and I ate at Old Town. It may not be the usual students' choie, but we were really hungry, and that was the second food place we saw (after Georgetown White Coffee =.=)!!! haha

Oh oh oh!!! And while waiting for the lecture to start, I was waiting outside the hall, in front of a room where there were around 5 students and a teacher, and two of the students were playing the flute!!! I was so jealous xD It looked like so much fun! One of my housemates, Hong Ling, and myself were contemplating whether or not to go crash their class, going into their classroom and saying "Oops, sorry, wrong classroom!" just so we could go see what the class is like! haha

There were so many music studios and stuff, making my fingers itch like crazy to touch a piano, even if it was just to play "Chopsticks" or something :( haha! I can just imagine myself sitting in one of the practice rooms, hearing the beautiful music all around me - Mozrt, Lizst, Beethoven - while I sit there at the grand piano, concentrating hard on playing... CHOPSTICKS!!!! Yay!!!!

Speaking about practice rooms, Ruby did ask about them because she wants to practice the piano for her piano exam later this year. Apparently the practice rooms are reserved for the music students in the afternoons, but she can practise there at night if she wants to. So nice, right? I'm planning to tag along when she does go and practise there! =)

Oh, and this is the first time since I got here that I'm using the internet! :) Celcom broadband is my friend now! (It wasn't really my friend just now when it wasn't really working xD) Ooh! And my housemates and I had frozen kiwi fruits just now, thanks to the super low temperature fridge! It tasted good, though xD

Ruby found a 90 cents roti canai place in this condo compound itself. SUPPER!!!! She's going to be my new supper buddy =D

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
P.S.: My desk is out to get me! I've scraped my knee on it a million and one times! Ouch :(

Off to the next phase...

Hey guys!!!

As of right now, I am considered a student of UCSI! Registration was this morning and in UCSI itself and I have to say, I am impressed with the place :) I even got to pass by the music studios and so on and they all looked awesome! I wonder if I'm allowed to use those rooms even though I'm not a music student there :S haha

Anyway, first thing we had to do there was register by giving our names to the people-in-charge there. So I queued up for my turn and when it was my turn, the lady who was in charge asked for my name and this happened:
Lady : What's your name?
Me : Amanda Chong.
Lady : *type type type* Your name isn't here.
Me : huhhhh???

Apparently my name wasn't in the system, so I had to write my name and particulars down before I was asked to go into the auditorium. I saw a few familiar faces in there belonging to people from BP :)

I ended up sitting beside a girl from KL, Felicia all throughout the whole programme in the auditorium =) Felicia and myself were both "abandoned people", what we used to refer to the people whose names weren't in the system. There was a whole bunch of us, so at least we didn't feel that bad xD

After the briefings an Q&A sessions and eveything, all of us JPA scholars were brought to where we will be staying throughout our foundation course, which will be 12 months long. Felicia, myself and 4 other "abandoned people" were assigned to the same unit :D

The accomodation is way way wayyyy better than I expected! 6 scholars are assigned to each unit, and each unit has 3 rooms. One master bedroom, one deluxe room and one single room. 3 people share the master bedroom, 2 the deluxe and of course 1 the single =]

I actually drew one of the master bedroom key while the new housemate of mine that was standing beside me drew the single room key. She wasn't too keen on it so I exchanged rooms with her :D Yay! Win-win! =)

All 3 rooms have air-conds! Mwahaha! And yes, they do work!!! That was totally unexpected! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it :D

On the not-so-up side, though, there goes my freedom, my holidays, my completely beach-bum-like lifestyle, my days of watching the TV the whole day! I start classes this Monday!

I have to change my entire current lifestyle :S

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
Thank You, God, for answering yet another one of my prayers! :)

Gotch ya! ;)

Hey guys!!!

On Sunday, after church, daddy, mummy and myself went down to JB. We were to have a celebratory dinner that night with the extended family there :)

When we reached my Ah Yee Lee Hua's house, I used the internet line there to get into the JPA website to finish up everything I was supposed to download and whatnot. I don' t know whether it was the internet connection or what, but it was awesome! Back at home I had to refresh sooooo many times before I could do anything at all on the JPA website.

In my aunty's house, though, all I had to do was click once and I would be where I was trying to access. Well, anyway, when I reached the 5th and final page of my JPA account, there was this line that said something about the dress-code and then there was a link beside it. I clicked it and a blank page except for the words "Gotch ya!;)" came out.

I'm not kidding! It really did that! Right in the middle of a totally serious, no nonsense page there was link to a page with white background and the words Gotch ya!;)in black words at the top left hand corner of the otherwise blank page! Those exact words in those exact spelling with the wink as well!!!

My first reaction to it was "huh?", and then I went "what?" then I went "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

I showed it to daddy, who was sitting beside me and he laughed out loud too xD I went out of the page (I X-ed the page) and clicked the link again and got the same thing! I showed it to mummy, Ah Yee Lee Hua (my aunty) and Ah Teow (my uncle), who were also there, and we all cracked up and started laughing! xD

Mummy said, "At least someone in JPA still has a sense of humour!"

Hahahahahahaha!!! It was so weird and so unexpected, yet so cute at the same time!!! xD

And then yesterday when I tried the page again, I got the correct page telling me I have to dress in formal clothing and so on. I guess somebody finally changed the Gotch ya!;) away! When I saw that the page had been changed, I told mummy and she asked, "To what? A frog leaping out of the page?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! It would have be very very very awesome if the page was really changed to that!!! LOL!!!

Well, anyway, I had a nice dinner with my maternal extended family on Sunday :)
A group shot of some of the ladies in the family. There are 3 generation of ladies in this picture! =D

To tell you all the truth, though, I NEED ME MY HOLIDAYSSSSS!!!!!!!

I could do well with more time before going off to further my studies!!! I still have a lot of shows I haven't had the chance to watch!!! Oh, and I haven't even started packing!!! Oops!

On the other hand, I'm starting college!!! University? University college? What is it I'm starting again?!?!? Oops, I really don't know! Am I supposed to know this?!?!?!? haha! Whatever it is, it should be fun! I'm quite excited about it!

Well, I better go enjoy my final few days of freedom!!! Oh, and maybe start packing =.=

mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
P.S.: I miss Niko :( Wish he were here. Praying that all is good where he is! =)

Thank You, Lord :)

JPA results are out!!!

After refreshing and refreshing the page for a loooonnng time, I finally managed to see my offer letter =D

The site was and probably is still jammed up by all the students from my batch plus their entire families trying to check out the scholarship statuses xD

Anyway, THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!

You are wonderful, You are the best, and You know what's best for me!

Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU!!!!!!

Thank You, Lord!!! :) :) :)

I got the course I applied for, which is medicine :)
I got UCSI, which, in case you didn't know, stands for University College Sedaya International :)

Local? Yes! But come to think of it, I'd rather study medicine in the country that I love and am used to, my own country, my home, rather than the other countries offered for this course (which come to think of it, aren't all that appealing... Malaysia is still the best!!!!)!

I am so so sooooo grateful that God is behind everything and He has everything under control. He has an awesome plan for me, for all of us! So to all of you who didn't get the scholarship or didn't get the courses/countries you wanted, don't worry! Trust the Lord! He knows what He's doing, He has everything under control! He has a plan just for you, a great one, and awesome one, one that He has just for you.

Oh, I'm supposed to register on th 21st of this month, which is not too long from now! I'm still in lazy mode!!! Oops xDDD

There's something a bit confusing about a course I don't know whether I'm supposed to attend from the 23rd to the 25th of this month, so I don't really know how that's supposed to work out =.=

Daddy and mummy are now waiting to bring me out for to celebrate God's goodness in granting me the scolarship!!!

Fatten me up even more before I go and starve myself living the college life xD

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
P/S: Yay! I get to be near koko!!!! Can embarrass him in front of his friends gao-gao! xDDD

THANK YOU LORD, FOR EVERYTHING :)
