We're *ruff ruff* Barking! :)

Hey guys!!!

So here I am, blogging from a nice little place in Barking, London :) I really like Barking! Maybe it's because I grew up around dogs? Lol okay not funny. Sorry :P

Anyway, dad, mum, koko and I flew Royal Brunei. It was nice, and I realised that non-Air-Asia flights serve a lot of food! hahaha

Cotton candy cloudssssss!!! :D

I was awake at one point of time in the very, very long flight to see the sunrise!

Sunrise!!!

We arrived in Heathrow later than scheduled, and when we came out after collecting our baggage, there he was! Niko was standing there, right in the middle of the crowd, holding a piece of paper that said "CHONG FAMILY". Awwwww! Then, of course, there were hugs all over :)

The complete Chong Family, FINALLY together again! :D

The guys in the Tube

Mummy and I

Oh ya! And I have to introduce you to my first ever sock doll! My new pet monkey from Niko x)
Monkayyyy!!! xD

Okay, so what have we been doing here in London so far? I'd pretty much sum everything up to eating and eating and eating. Oh, and falling asleep. And eating. Did I mention eating? I think you get my drift ;P

Typical Malaysian! x)

Hey guys!

So all our bags are packed, and now all that's left for us is to sleep, wake up (early :S), get ourselves to the airport, and off we go! I'm getting more and more excited! We're going to get to see Niko soon! :)

Ooh! I found out that I'm an awesome packer! I can stuff more things than others can into the bags! It's true! As I was packing, though, I kept thinking how typically Malaysian we are xD

I was packing and packing and stuffing and stuffing the clothes and things into the bags, and I realised, HEY! There are more Maggi mee in here than anything else! Then I kept thinking back to when my friends or relatives have gone overseas in the past, and I realised that every single time, without fail, Malaysians who go overseas MUST bring Maggi mee xDDD

mwahahahahahahahahahaha...

The Grandmothers' Birthdays :)

Hey guys!

So, just a quick update: I've finished my foundation (MERDEKAAAA!!!) and so I have holidays until I have to start med school in July (I think) =D Koko and I are both at home, both merdeka, both on holidays, and Niko just finished his last exam paper today, so he also merdeka! xD

We're all going for a holiday together, as a whole family! It has been soooo long since we all went on holiday together, all 5 of us!!! Daddy, Mummy, Koko and I will fly together from KL, and Niko will fly from Canada, and we are scheduled to arrive at the same time, so we'll meet him there!!! I'm excited!!! Yay!!!! :D :D :DDDD

Anywayyyyy, not too long ago, dad, mum, koko and myself went up to Penang to celebrate popo Alice's birthday. Popo Alice is actually my God-grandma (God-grandma? That sounds right! xD). She's really cute and funny as well!!! hahaha

It was fun in Penang :) We had lots of fun playing gin rummy with popo Alice (and all the modern-modern people had fun playing "Draw Something" with each other on their iPands while sitting around 5 steps from one another =.=) hahahaha

The whole jin gang :) Popo Alice so cute in her blue shirt, sitting in front :D

And then today was Ah Chiah's (my paternal grandma's) birthday, so we went to have dinner with her. The first restaurant we went to, however, was really-really-really-really-really-seriously-not-kiddingly-betul-betul NOISY LIKE MAD! The volume was seriously blowing our heads off!

And then the smart people at the restaurant served half our dishes, then stopped to serve the other half. So before the 2ns half came, we all got fed up and asked if they had prepared the rest of our food! Since they hadn't, we paid and left............ and then we walked over to another restaurant for 2nd rounds xDDDDD (And you wonder where we get our sizes from?)

So there at the 2nd restaurant, we ordered food as though we hadn't had almost a whole meal right before that! We managed to finish all the food ordered, eat Ah Chiah's birthday cake, and have cendol as well. (Anybody still wondering where we get our sizes from?)

From the Rising of the Sun :)

I walked out of my room here in Cheras today, and I saw this yellow light being reflected onto the living room wall. So I went over to the window and looked out, and saw the sun setting ever so beautifully :)
Looking out at the beautiful scenery and thinking how amazing He is, a song we used to sing a lot at home kept playing in my head - From the Rising of the Sun :) It's a really simple song that goes like this:
From the rising of the sun
To the going down of the same
The Lord's name
Is to be praised

Praise ye the Lord
Praise Him all ye servants of the Lord
Praise the name of the Lord
Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth
And forevermore

It's a nice song :) I'm going to make koko and niko sing it with me when we all have our holidays... at the same time! Woohoooooo!!! Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeahhhh!!!!

Holidays, AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! It's been wayyyy too long!

Coming to an End!

Wow, this pass year has gone by really really fast! Or at least, that's how I feel!

I can still remember the first day I came here, the first time I saw UCSI, being led for the first time to Angkasa, the first time I saw my current housemates, the first semester, the second semester, and now, here I am, close to the end of my third and final foundation semester!

It really does feel like just not too long ago that I finished my SPM, and got my results, and I got the offer to come here to UCSI, and I came! It really doesn't feel like it was so long ago, and suddenly, my juniors have already gotten their SPM results! (And I am really proud of them too! =D)

Anywayyyyy, I'm not going to get all sentimental and sappy or whatever, but I do have to say, I think I enjoyed this semester more than I did the first two. And I know I'm going to risk sounding really, really nerdy, but I'm going to say it anyway! This semester, I realised how fun Physics can be, and how much I actually enjoy it! (Okay okay I'm going to stop with the nerdiness now xP)
Myself and Miss Nisha, my Physics lecturer who's AWESOME (and really cute)!!! :D
She's probably the reason I learnt to enjoy Physics :)
Ooh, and a few days ago, I cam across a poster on campus that caught my interest:
Songwriters' Night!!!

And then I read on, and there it was! A familiar name!
That's my senior! That's my senior! That's my senior!
From secondary school! The first name on the poster! And she's really talented!

I saw that and I wanted to go, so I asked Ruby to come with me. So the 2 of us went to UCSI the night of the event, both giggly an excited :D We climbed up the stairs of block A, and the glass door wouldn't open. Great. So we climbed back down the stairs and I kept thinking how fortunate that nobody saw us!

Then I saw a figure down there somewhere, staring at us. It took me some time to realise it was a friend from CF, Jia Tee. She asked us if it was our first time in UCSI at night, because we should have known that only very few entrances are left open after a certain time xD

We told Jia Tee what we were there for, and she said that she saw the poster, but she didn't have anybody to go with her! So the three of us went for Songwriter's Night together =D

Yeah, I know I'm biased, so I only took my camera out when the person I went to see was onstage xP
The back-up singer on the right :)

She was the lead singer for another 2 songs, but I only took videos, so no photos! I pakat-ed with Ruby - she take photos, I take videos xD All in all, I thought it was a fun night! Wished they had performances like that more often!

Since it's almost the end of our foundation, my housemate Hong Ling brought her polaroid camera to take a photo of us housemates before we all separate and go our own ways.
It's a polaroid camera!!! *gasp* I. touched. it!!! xD

Our friend Sarah helped take our photo after a tutorial class :)
Tadaa!!! Top l-r: Karen, Felicia. Bottom l-r: Niki, me, Hong Ling. Oh, and my hand-model is Niki xD

That's us 5 current housemates :) 5 because Chia Yee left for AIMST in our first sem here :S
The photo taken with Hong Ling's polaroid camera, in Hong Ling's file, by Hong Ling's water bottle :)

SUSOM :D

A gift from the SUSOMites 2012! :)

I went for the SUSOM 2012 closing dinner that day and I realised that I have been out, post-SUSOM, for more than a year! Going back to the SU office really brought back all the memories! Memories of all the fun I had with the other SUSOMites from my batch as well as with the SU staff and everyone else I met at SUSOM came flooding through my mind!

It also made me think about my life since "graduating" from SUSOM, and I realised that SUSOM did make a difference in my life, and I did really learn a lot from it! Some things learnt and some habits cultivated through SUSOM has stayed with me until now, and hopefully, they will continue to stay with me for a long long long long long time to come! =D I feel blessed that I joined SUSOM and I can call myself a SUSOMite. Once a SUSOMite, always a SUSOMite! x)

Anyway, I'm really glad I could attend the closing dinner that day. If nothing else, at least I was there to defend all the ex-SUSOMites! Although we were all invited, only Samuel and I attended the dinner, and we were defending all the previous batches of SUSOMites the whole night! xD

The very impressive SUSOMites 2012 with the SU staff they bullied for 22 days xD

One thing I did find out, though, is that my batch cooked better than this year's batch. This made me think of the hard-boiled eggs we made and left there until there were maggots! Hahahahahahaha! Oh, memories, memories!

Representing all the SUSOMites from the previous years!

Joshua and Jing were supposed to teleport back for the dinner from UK and Poland respectively, but I think the teleporter failed them. Again. So it was just Samuel and I! =S

The SU staff were given a mug each by the SUSOMites 2012, all of which were hand-drawn on! Jun Yi got one that says "Mr. Mischief", Jason "Mr. Daydream", Jennifer "Little Miss Chatterbox", Daniel "Mr. Perfect". Cute, no?

The SUSOMites' babysitters xD

Another thing I was a bit shocked to find out was that all the titles for the staff were changed! hahaha at least from SUSOM 2010 to SUSOM 2012, a few people still had the same title, like how Daniel was Daddy Koo for 2 years.

For my batch, Daniel was Daddy Koo, Jason was Mama Lai, Jennifer was Jie2 Jen, and Jun Yi was monkey. This year, though, Daddy Koo became Mama, Jie2 Jen became Daddy, Mama Lai became Brother, and the monkey had evolved into an Auntie xD

Now I wonder what next year's SUSOMites will name the poor SU staff!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Bye CNY 2012 :')

Hey guys!

Since today is "chap goh meh", I have to say HAPPY CHAP GOH MEH!!! :)

This CNY has been a different one, especially since it's the first one without Mama :( I missed my granny even more than usual this CNY :(

Well, anyway, since it's chap goh meh, I figure it's a good time to blog about my CNY :)

Dad's side of the family came down to BP for our reunion dinner on the eve of CNY's eve, as usual =D Too bad Niko and Julian weren't there! We missed them!

l-r: Daddy, me, mummy, ah chiah, koko

l-r: Justine, me, koko, sarm kue, Jessica

Then, as usual, there was the karaoke session! And, again, as usual, "yue liang dai biao wo de xing" (The Moon Represents my Heart) was the top favourite ;D

Ah Chiah and daddy, the mother-son du0 :)

Group shot!!!

We took a group photo, and realised that we forgot all about Niko and Julian, so we took one more!

We took 2 plates to represent Julian and Niko!!! x)

And then, as usual, we celebrated CNY with mum's side of the family in JB :) And again, as usual, there was A LOT of food! hahaha we are a bunch of food-lovers!

Mummy and daddy enjoying their pork ribs!

And then there was the usual fireworks destruction x)

Happy!!! :D BOOM! Ahhhh!

That Happy Boom was really scary! It is the one that makes a really really really loud BOOOOMMMMM!!!!! that doesn't bring any happiness =S And and and it made a hole in the top of the signboard near my uncle's house xD

The hole wasn't originally a hole. It was covered x) Oops, sorry!

And then back home in BP, we had the famous Wu family yong tau fu!!! :D Apparently the last time we had that was 8 years ago!

Omnomnomnom. Me likey! :)

Oh, and I managed to meet up with some of my TIGS friends :)

Ling Ching, Shin Lei, Jia Lin, Sharon, Fong Yee :)

All in all, it was a good CNY, though I did miss my 3 grandparents who are already in heaven a lot. Well, I know they're in a happy place, so it's okay! =)

Yay! Happy!!!! BOOM!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The "Happy" in the "Happy Boom" is REALLY misleading =.=

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...
