I Love You, Panda!
One of my dogs, Panda, left us last night/this morning. She passed away in the night while everybody at home was sleeping :'(
She really was one of a kind. She was small, and probably the most shy among all the dogs I have ever had, but when got hyper, her presence and happiness could light up the whole house. She used to get hyper at times, and just start running round and round in circles, occasionally crouching really suddenly, and then just as suddenly jumping up and down, and then continue running all over.
We got Panda as a puppy, and she had the most gorgeous blue eyes when she was young! Later, though, her eyes slowly turned brown in colour, but they were still really pretty and you could see the warmth and gentleness in them! She grew up shy but brave, and she was faithful, loyal, and always so loving. She was always lying down for us to rub her belly, and sometimes, when I was sitting somewhere near her, she would just quietly walk near me and sit down by me. She never did that just so I would play with her, but it always felt like she just liked being close to me, just sitting and chilling there by me. She always made me feel so loved!
Her fur was so gorgeous too, soft and really pretty, and fluffy too! She was so, so, so huggable! She never complained about anything too! She was such a lady in every way. She was quiet sometimes and just enjoyed sitting there observing everything and everyone, but when there was a stranger/if she sensed any danger at the door, she would bark and bark and bark. She never really made much noise other than when she felt she needed to, to protect her family, to protect her home, to protect us. She was a brave little lady.
Speaking of what a lady she was, she used to catwalk too! She was so cute! Her legs would cross when she walked, just like models catwalking! We used to joke that she was actually a cat trapped in a dog's body, and that we should have named her Catherine so we could call her Cat xD
I hate saying that I had a "favourite" dog at home, but always had a special place in my heart, and I did always keep a special eye out for Panda, especially since she was the oldest and yet the smallest of the dogs we had. She was the gentle one, the patient one, the accommodating one, the one whose treats always got stolen (until we got smart and always guarded hers for her! XD).
She was a gem, the loveliest dog we could have ever hoped for, and I am so proud to be able to say that she was our dog. She loved my family as much as (if not more than) we loved her, she was such a joy to be around, she protected us and our home lovingly, and she really proved to us that being small doesn't make one weak. She had the bravery of a lion, the loyalty of a million dogs, and the love of a mother.
Panda, I love you so so sooooo much, and I really really miss you! I wish I had been there at home to see you before you passed away. Thank you for being such an awesome dog. You have always been such a good dog and a good friend. I wish I could spend more days with you, but I can't :( I know you knew I loved you, though, and I'm thankful for that. Although I have to say goodbye to you now, the memories of you will live with me forever.
I love you, Pan Pan! Thanks for loving me too. We all already miss you!
Look at this post I blogged about in 2009!
