College and God :)

Aunty Leok Soo posted a link to a Christianity Malaysia article on our church Facebook page earlier today, and she tagged my name in her post, saying to find me in the picture.

So of course, I clicked the link and read at the article, curious as to what it was about. The first two words of the article gave me my answer - Paul Kong, the previous UCSI CF president.

Seeing as the article is a good read, an encouraging testimony, I just thought I'd share it here (click me!), and no, I'm not linking it just so everyone can see my face there. Hahaha in fact, having my pictures there is making me a bit shy xD

mwahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Of Flowers and Rain

After having the Les Miserables song "A Little Fall of Rain" stuck in my head for longer than it should be stuck there, I decided to make it even more stuck by Googling the song. Smart right? I know.

Anyway, putting "flowers" and "rain" together in the search bar, I found this quote that is really more like a poem, that was written by an unknown author.
Sometimes it takes rain
To make the flowers grow
Sometimes it takes real pain
Before real joy one knows
Sometimes it takes tomorrows
To understand days gone by
Sometimes before the laughter
There comes heavy sigh
Sometimes it takes the midnight hour
To value morning light
Sometimes it takes the longest mile
Before things come insight
Sometimes you often wonder
Why your heart can get so sore
But its the rocky paths in life
That makes you cherish the smooth roads more!
Well, I guess the poem is quite true, isn't it? We tend to take things for granted or just choose to be ignorant about certain things, until something or someone comes and knock us on our heads. Then we go all "ouch!" and hold our lebam-ed head while thinking "oh ya hor, why didn't I realise this earlier?"

That being said, I don't really get why the author associated rain with pain other than the fact that they rhyme  xD I mean, flowers and joy I can understand. Flowers make people happy and all smiley-faced :D But rain and pain? I actually like rain and so I genuinely don't get what rain has got to do with pain. Again, other than the fact that they rhyme xD

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Happy birthday, daddy!!!

Daddy, handsome as usual ;)
Thanks for being the most wonderful,
the best father in the whole, wide world!

Thank you for being my rock, for always having my back, for always being there for me. Thank you for always accepting me for who I am, though never letting me be happy with being less than my best. Thanks for never letting me forget that whatever I do, you are there for me, standing in my corner, cheering me on.

Thank you for teaching me discipline, as well as the difference between right and wrong; between good and bad; between God's word and ajaran sesat xD Without you, I'd be lost in this world. Thank you for always sharing your wisdom with me, and for always teaching me whenever I do not understand anything. I have always admired you for your wisdom and for your knowledge on what seems to be everything.

Thanks for your wonderful sense of humour, which never fails to brighten up everyone's days. Thank you for teaching me not to take everything too seriously, but to remember that there is always a time to laugh. Thank you for teaching me to laugh not only at others, but to sometimes also laugh about myself.
1-O-1!
Thanks for always being so supportive and for never putting down any of my weird dreams or ideas. Thanks for always encouraging me to do the things I want to do, to grab the chances I am given before it is too late. Thanks for always pushing me to be the best I can be, to be all that I can be.

Thank you for being you, thank you for being the best daddy in the world. I love you so much, and I pray that God will continue to bless you with the riches blessings.

May you live to be 120, dad! ;)

You ain't got no best dad in the world, he's mine!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!
I LOVE YOU!!! :)

Jom Holiday!

This conversation just happened -
Daddy: I keep getting e-mails from Travelodge.
Me: It's a sign!

Me: I keep getting e-mails from Little Chef!
Mummy and I: It's a sign!

Mummy: I keep getting e-mails from MAS and Air Asia!
Mummy and I: It's a sign!

Daddy: Haiya, it's not a sign, it's a sigh! *sighs*

Hahahaha I was just saying how I felt like flying off to somewhere spontaneously earlier today, and all the talk about travelling happens. It's a sign? XD

White Christmas... Sikit Bawah ;)

I was singing along to the song "White Christmas" when I looked out my window and saw... Snowww!!! Well, as snowy as the weather here in Malaysia can get xD

No snow, no white Christmas in Malaysia. At least no natural ones (Artificial ones in shopping centres, different story lah xD)

Well, it's okay. We may not have snow, but we have rain. It may not be white, but it can be a bit greyish, which, you know, has a bit of white in it, right? X)

It's alright that we don't really get the environment and the weather we hear about in all the Christmas songs, because we all celebrate the same thing all over the world - the birth of Jesus Christ :)

So Christmas, with or without snow, is my favourite time of the year. Even though we get "sikit bawah" Christmas weather here!

mwahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
