National Service!

Hey guys!!!

Everyone was talking about PLKN (NS) today!!!

We were trying to check in school, but usual lah, school computer, tak jadi =.=

Anyway, after school, I tried getting into the PLKN website but failed miserably...

About a thousand four hundred and fifty six times!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahaha...

Anyway, so mum sent the SMS to see if I was chosen...

And she hasn't gotten the reply yet even though the SMS was sent more than 3 hours ago!!!

While I was at tuition though, mum and dad managed to get through the website and managed to check whether I was chosen or not...

And...

I wasn't!!! :)

I think many people tak kena this year!!!

Every other person wasn't chosen!!!

And I'm kind of glad I wasn't chosen too...

Mum and dad would worry soooooo much if I kena!!!

Especially mummy, who has been praying that I won't be chosen!!!

Her prayers are super powerful :D

Praise the Lord!!!!! :)

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!

Youth Sunday 2010!!!

Youth Sunday was today!!!

For the sake of those people who weren't here (you know who you guys are), and especially for the sake of the person who asked me to do this (ehem ehem), here is a kind of detailed account of what happened at Youth Sunday today!!! :)

Everything started with a skit 1, where Jason Low, Rachael, Dawn were introduced as members of the same church...

Then we went into the normal prelude, call to worship, opening hymn, opening prayer and then Gloria Patri...

The Gloria Patri wasn't exactly Gloria Patri, though...

Why? Because the pianist played the wrong song xD

Alright, because I played the wrong song :P

Instead of Gloria Patri, I played Doxology =.=

OUCHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually didn't notice my mistake until I was nudged and told by Derrick and koko Sern Wang...

When koko Sern Wang came to me at the piano, I turned to see some church members starting at me, their expressions sort of a cross between angry and shocked xD

The poor congregation, though...

First they sing Doxology with Gloria Patri's lyrics shown on the screen, and just when everyone syiok-syiok singing Doxology, then I changed the song to Gloria Patri...

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bad thing about that was that it was probably the most embarrassing moment for me in my many, many years in church, but the good thing is that it was the probably the biggest hiccup we had this morning, which means that everything else went relatively well!!!

THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!! :)

Anyway, Youth Sunday had no choice but to continue xD

Instead of our usual reciting of the Apostle's Creed, we sang it today...

Not the exact words that we usually recite, but it memang is a song...

It's an interesting song to play with any instrumen, I imagine (except maybe percussion), because the chord changes on every other note...

So by the time you're done playing the song, you probably have sore arms!

Thank God my arms were fine today :D

The youths on stage, singing the Apostle's Creed for the first time in Sunday service (I think)

After that was skit 2, which was about Jason Ng, whose car tire punctured on his way to church...

After trying to do something about it, Jerrel, a church member passes him...

Jason asks Jerrel for help but he says that he is in charge of beverages in church, and he already is late...

Jerrel says that he really has to go to church first, but Jason shouldn't worry to much as he's sure there will be other church members passing by later, and maybe he can tumpang them...

"If no me, later no beverages!"

Shortly after Jerrel leaves, Rachel appears and Jason asks for help...

Rachael says that she might not know how to help with the tire, and she has to get to church quickly because she's the usher...

She tells Jason not to worry, she'll go to church first and ask the church members to pray for him!

After she leaves, Jason tries again to fix his problem...

While he's doing that, Edrik appears on a weird vehicle that can rotate 360 degrees (biasalah, Edrik, whole life doing these weird-weird things xD)

Being entertained by the skit

Edrik stops and offers to help Jason, saying that he can fetch him to church and then later, his friend's friend, a mechanic, can help with Jason's car...

With that, Jason gets a ride to church :)

After that, Joanna led us in a time of worship...

Joanna and the back-up singers

The musicians

After that, as usual, was the offering with the offertory hymn, followed by the REAL Doxology and prayer xD

Then skit 3 pula starts...

A boss in a company wants to see one of the managers, Jason Low, so his assistant calls Jason...

Jason has made many grammatical errors in his report, costing the company a large sum of money...

Apparently it wasn't the first time too, but after Jason's pleading, the boss forgives him and gives him 2 weeks to work on the report...

Jason goes back to his office and sees a worker working under him, Deric pass by...

Jason calls him and scolds him for some other mistake that Deric has made in his report, costing the company a sum of money not more than what Jason's errors cost the company...

Jason fires Deric :(

All these, however, are seen by the boss's assistant and he tells the boss about it...

The boss fires Jason once he has heard about this...

Youth Sunday continued with the concerns of the church followed by prayer...

Then skit 4 started...

Dawn and Krystal are shopping when they come across an old lady selling tissue paper...

Dawn is very very rich and so she makes the whole world clear that she is being very generous as she wants to buy all the tissue papers that the old lady is selling for RM 50, when actually all those tissue papers cost RM 52...

Dawn takes a photo with the old lady and contacts her friends, all so that people will know about her "generous" deed...

They then go to town for lunch and coincidentally meet Kimberly and Caleen at the restaurant...

She tells them the "amazing story" about her "very generous deed"...

After that, when the food arrives, she offers to pray out loud in case any of the church leaders are around...

She stands up and prays out loud.... VERY LOUDLY, thanking God for the sun, the moon..................................ZZZzzZzZzzzzzz

After the skit was the song presentation...

The youths sang out theme song this year, From The Inside Out...

Hui Yee was worried about her solos earlier on, but thank God everything went well :D

After that was the sermon by Derrick...

And after the message, skit 5 started...

It's about the transformation that Jason Low, Dawn and Rachel experienced...

And then there was another song presentation - Power of Your Love, which was also our closing song...

With the Benediction and the Three-fold Amen, service was over :D

After a few group photos, we left for Ocean for our buffet lunch!

Group shot 1

Group shot 2

Group shot 3

Group shot 4

At Ocean pula, we all just ate and had fun together :D

Oh, and then we celebrated Fiona's birthday, which reminds me...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIONAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

And finally...

The other photos!!!!!!!!

Lazy to upload one by one, so they're all in a........

COLLAGE!!!!!!!

All the best in looking at the photos xP

And that's a wrap!!!!!!!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Hmmm....

I just realised that I actually make relatively short posts look quite long because of my double-spacing after every other line...

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Oh, and because of my mwahahahahas and wakakakakakakas xD

And because quite a lot of people complained to me that they hurt their finger scrolling down my posts last time, I really cut down a lot on the things I post here...

So, my point is...

I have been contemplating whether or not to stop the double-spacing and go for a more structured paragraphed approach to blogging...

But then I thought, double-spacing also not bad mah, then people can exercise their fingers xD

So what I've come up with is that.........

I still like my double-spacing xD

I started blogging this way, and I like doing it this way!!!

Can release tension, pressing the "Enter" button many many times!!!

wakakakakakakakakakakakakaka...

Same for the laughs, can transfer all the stress and tension into slamming the keyboards with the......

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAs
and the
WAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAs

And maybe now I'm starting to sound a bit mental xD

Ok, maybe I'll have some posts paragraphed cantik-cantik once in a blue moon...

But DOUBLE-SPACING FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
(The way I sign off is another thing I forgot to mention, so.....)
P/S: I like my Buh-byes too xD

Youth Sunday this Sunday!!!

Hey guys!!!

YF GGBP's Youth Sunday will be this Sunday!!!

Derrick will be the speaker, Joanna the worship leader, Jonathan the chairman...

Me? I'll be the pianist and I was sort of put in charge of the song presentations too :)

After the service, the YFers involved will go out for lunch!!!

And since it'll be a buffet lunch, I'm going to eat until I can no longer walk and have to roll out of the restaurant xD

Hopefully Youth Sunday will go on smoothly, and we will be able to glorify God's name...

Click here for more details on our Youth Sunday!!! :)

JAYN, EVONNE, JOANNE, JOSHUA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys have been awesome CG mates!!!

Hope you guys continue to love and serve God in whatever you guys do and hope to see you guys again soon!!!

Let me know if or when you guys are back in BP!!!

Hope everything goes well for you guys!!!

Will keep you guys in prayer!!!

Oh, and Huei Xing, all the best for your competition!!!

You really do have a good voice and sing well, I mean it!!!

It's a pleasure to hear you sing!!!

Hope you do well and will be praying for you!!! :)

I think now is a good time for me to get started on my tonnes of homework...

Or at least pretend to get started on them while waiting for my studying mood to come ;)

Oh, and I almost forgot!!!

I WENT UP THE NEW SCHOOL BLOCK TODAY!!!!!!!

Up to the top!!!

It was after the first period, while the Muslim students and teachers were still in the hall and the rest of us were just having nothing to do...

Anyway, after sitting in class for some time, Shin Lei, Wen Qi and I decided to go and explore the new block...

There isn't anything there anymore to say that students are not allowed to go there, so we climbed the stairs up the new block for the first time...

We climbed the stairs right to the top and walked along the corridor to the other side to take the stairs the other side down...

The moment we turned the corner towards the stairs, I saw a whole cloud of white - the tudungs and baju kurungs of the Muslim students...

You know, it wasn't until then that I realised that I have pretty quick reflexes as before the other two with me could say anything, I sort of went, "Whoaaa, cannot! TURN BACK!!!" and turned towards the corridor again, hidden by the walls of the new classrooms there...

And then we hurried, or more accurately, flew down the same flights of stairs we climbed up earlier on to the safety of ground floor!!!

We were all laughing like hyenas and high-ten-ing each other as we rushed away from that new building :D

It's not like we broke the rules or anything right? I mean, there isn't anything that says we aren't allowed up there right? But maybe because our Chinese animal thingy is a chicken, we all really are chickens?

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!

The Stars and the Moon and Life =.=

Finished with all the Star Mag Inc 2010 thingy :)

A lot of hard work went into the magazine and the video...

I would post the video here, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to...

Of course, if I have time, I will make a video of all the shots that we screwed up and post it here so that the whole world can laugh at us xD

mwahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Oh, and just asking, does anyone know who invented the graphs we have to learn in chapter 5 of Form 5 Add. Maths?

I'd love to kill the person who invented it if he/she/IT hasn't died yet!

That person/it(?) is making my life very miserable!

I think drawing those graphs did something to my brain, because I think I cracked when I had to do it...

I was literally shouting in class and stamping my feet in frustration while sketching those annoying graphs...

And then after lessons, before we had to go for our co-curricular activities, I was trying really hard to finish sketching all the graphs that I was supposed to, and a classmate of mine, Shahifah started trying to disturb/annoy me even further...

I was at the very last graph of mine, and since we have to sketch our graphs quite big, the chances of getting a graph that doesn't look like a graph is quite high xD

wakakakakakakakakakakakaka...

Anyway, I was holding my breath while sketching the last graph, afraid that I might do something wrong somewhere and wind up having to sketch the whole thing all over again...

While I was doing that, Shahifah, seeing that I was doing what I was doing, kept calling my name...

"Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda............"

I continued to hold me breath, concentrating on the graph.

"Amanda! Is Miss Ong coming to our class during BM period tomorrow?" Shahifah asked in BM...

Still, I ignored her. I didn't want to ruin my graph now, did I?

"Amanda! Eh, Amanda!"

Ignore... Ignore... I didn't even wipe my sweat!

"Eh, Amanda looks like she's angry! Amanda!"

Ignore... Ignore... Ig-"WEI SHAHIFAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! KACAU BETUL LAH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And you know what she does? She laughs! Honestly, that girl is going to pay for that!

I told her that I hope she gets disturbed when she's sketching her graphs at home xD

I said that I hope her sisters, brothers, parents, neighbours, everybody wants to disturb her when she's doing her homework!

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Balas dendam ;D

And then Shahifah says, "I don't have any older brothers"

And so I did the only thing I could do, "AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH, JAGA KAUUUUU!!!!!!" and then I started rubbing off the graph that tak jadi :(

wakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakaka...

I'm kind of convinced that Shahifah won't dare to do her homework today :P

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Me likey :)

Thanks to the awesome friends and family I have, I had a great 17th birthday :)

All of you who remembered my birthday (you know who you are), thanks again!

I love you all!!!

I really really really am glad to know each and every single one of you!!!

You guys really are awesome!!!

And those of you who forgot...

It's... it's... it's okay *sniff* *sniff*...

I'm sure you remembered my birthday, just for got to wish me right? Right? Right?

And those of you who forgot totally, i...i...you...it's...never mind, I...i...I still l..love you *sniff* *sniff* *sniff*

hahahahahahahahahaha xD

Anyway, this year, I had not one, but two surprise birthday celebrations...

One was done by some schoolmates, and another by my CG (care group from YF)...

top(l-r): Zhi Qing (Ah Pao), Ruby, Jing Xin, E-Chuen, Pey Yann, Joanna, me
bottom(l-r): Anlynn, Charmaine, Wan Yi, Zhi Wei, Vivian, Susin

I met up with these people thinking that we were going to celebrate Wan Yi's and Susin's birthdays, which happen to be on the 10th and 2nd of June respectively...

We met up and had breakfast in McD, and then we celebrated Wan Yi's birthday there...

After that she left because she had to meet up with her family or something...

Then after that we went to watch The Karate Kid, which I thought was pretty cute :)

Jessie joined us during the movie...

After the movie, I while I was watching the credits (I always watch at least a part of the credits in case there are some extra-extra stuff), suddenly I heard voices singing "Happy Birthday to you"...

Voices as in familiar voices...

And then came the cake, and the people singing and holding the cake (and cameras) were walking to me...

With cameras, with a cake...

A cake! In the cinema!!!

I went into a total state of WWWHHHAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??????

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

I seriously seriously seriously wasn't expecting that. At all.

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

After that only we went to celebrate Susin's birthday at Tea Station...

I actually want to post our group photo there, but the waitress took a very blur picture. Two very blur group photos, actually =.=

Anyway, thanks, guys, for the complete and utter WHATTTT?!?!??? moment :)

And then there is the surprise my CG did...

top(l-r): Ah War, Li Yuan, Joanna, Caleen, Edrik. Bottom(l-r): me, Jie2 Ee Hsin, Joanne, Evonne, Jayn, Regine

The "point there!" post xD

These people got my maid to trick me!!!

It was on Thursday night, the eve of my birthday, and I had tuition...

After tuition, when I reached home, kakak told me that I left the air-cond in my study room on...

I went, "How can that be? I didn't even go there today! Cannot be lah!"

At that time I sort of thought something is fishy, but nothing really came out of that fishiness xD

And then kakak said that she didn't turn the air-cond off in case I left it on on purpose...

So, being ever the "SAVE THE EARTH! SAVE ELECTRICITY!!!" person that I am, I rushed to the room and opened the door and SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was my whole care group, being squeezed into that tiny room with the light off (I don't know about the fan, but I sincerely hope that it was on, for their sake xD), singing the birthday song to me...

Let me tell you this, my whole family, including kakak, who is now more or less considered family, have great acting skills...

They all can go be professional actors and actresses!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Anyway, I took pity on the sardines that were supposedly my care group mates, and so they un-sardine-ed themselves and came out of the room =D

We also celebrated Edrik's birthday (belated birthday) with the same cute Doraemon cake xD

We yum-seng-ed with cake and then it was really like a CG reunion for us...

Most from our CG was there, and Joshua, who though wasn't here, was on the phone with us anyway :D

Anyway, thanks, guys, for being the awesomest CG, you guys are family :)

And then, of course, my family celebrated my birthday with me as well...

It was really great as dad, mum, niko and I left for Malacca at around 6 pm on my birthday, and koko met us in Malacca...

So I got to celebrate my birthday with the whole family in Malacca in Old Town, where I did my last post =]

Koko purposely took a bus down to Malacca that night so that he could celebrate my birthday with me, and not celebrate my "boxing birthday" the next day...

Awww, ain't that sweet? hahahahaha

Thanks kor!!!

Oh and kor, thanks for the present, you know, the... that one lah! Aiya, the... that one... you know lah, hor? (Sorry if you don't understand, inside joke)

Anyway, thanks, daddy, mummy, niko, koko, for being the best family in the whole wide world...

Nothing I can write in this blog of mine will ever be able to show how awesome you all are and how much I love you guys...

You guys are the ones who have known and loved me since the day I was born, (slightly more than) 17 years ago...

You guys have been with me through all of my joy, my pain, my sorrow, my temper tantrums, my tears, my crazy unstoppable laughs, and every single part of my life...

I know you all love me very much, and I know you guys know that I love you all very very very much too...

Thanks for always being there for me, and for always having my back. I know I can always count on you guys :)

Thank youuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, enough of my birthday (which was pretty cool)!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Here's a video that I watched some time back and suddenly thought of again:

Laughter is contagious. Agreed?

You Tube is awesome...

I know I keep saying "awesome", but that's only because it's an awesome word to use xD

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Pomplamoose. If you have never heard of them, it's time to go check them out!

Here's the first video of theirs that I watched. Niko showed it to me and I've been addicted ever since :) Thanks niko! haha

She has great vocals and can really sing so many different parts while he can play so many instruments well! All their videos are really cute too! Weird, but nice and cute =) They are cute people always doing very cute and creative things :D

It's actually because of their cover that I no longer change to other radio stations every time I hear this song on the radio, like I initially did...

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Then then niko introduced me (as in on You Tube lah) to this pair of twins from Australia...

They are actually Korean-Australians and they too are very cute people, always sounding so bubbly :)

Here's one of their videos and I'm warning you, it's very very very stuckable!!!

Hear one time already enough for the song to get stuck!!!

If the song is now stuck or get stuck later, you're welcome :P

mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

Buh-bye, people!!!
